Rebecca Tuttle is a Memphis native who received a B.A. in history, magna cum laude, and a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Memphis. While in law school, Tuttle earned the Herff Law Scholarship and served on the staff of the Memphis Law Review. She also has a B.S. in medical record administration from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

After law school, Tuttle was a prosecutor in the Shelby County District Attorney General’s office. She entered private practice through the firm of Farris, Mathews, Branan and Hellen, (now Farris Bobango Branan) becoming a partner there during her practice. Throughout her career, Tuttle has been a leader in the Memphis Bar Association, serving as president of its Young Lawyers Division and twice on its board of directors. She also served two terms as a member of the Tennessee Judicial Selection Committee.

Tuttle returned to the public sector when she joined the Office of General Counsel in 1999, bringing a strong knowledge base in litigation and health care. Her practice currently focuses on medical malpractice litigation before the Tennessee Claims Commission.
