Harold Pinkley has spent his career as a trial lawyer. Before coming to the university in 2017, Harold managed employment cases of all kinds in many states across the country, including cases alleging race, sex, national origin, age, and religious discrimination. For several years earlier in his career, he prepared and tried products liability cases in, among other states, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. He now spends most of his time handling employment-related litigation and counseling. Harold is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy.

Harold received a B.A. in English history and a J.D. from UT. While in law school, he was a Student Materials Editor on the Tennessee Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. After law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Frank W. Wilson and the Honorable H. Theodore Milburn, judges of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
